The CAEDA Board of Directors embodies the spirit of community service in Natrona County. Each Director represents their business or government entity but more importantly, our Forward Casper members and the citizens of Natrona County. Board members can be appointed through the City, County, and Casper Area Chamber of Commerce. However, any interested person can run for a seat on the CAEDA Board through investment or by running for election during the Annual Meeting held each December. If you are interested in becoming active on the CAEDA Board of Directors, please contact the CAEDA office.
Each board member serves on at least one committee. These committees and task forces were created to pursue and influence positive economic development outcomes, facilitate communications, enlist support and participation from investors and community leaders, and establish procedures and operating guidelines for CAEDA.
The Transportation Committee is an issues-focused, results-driven committee working for continual improvement of all surface and air transportation services/assets impacting Natrona County.
The Higher Education Task Force is the leadership for the development and implementation of actions resulting in an increase of four-year degrees available in Natrona County.
The Workforce and Industry Partnership Development Committee is the catalyst for developing, supporting and championing a proactive Business Retention and Expansion program for CAEDA. The committee also serves as a communications link between targeted industry sector employers, educational institutions, training centers, and other necessary and vital resources.
The Project Committee develops local incentive packages and oversees the application for local business and economic development incentive funds. It also serves as an advisor to the CAEDA President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and other public governing bodies (as necessary) for developing and offering incentive/development packages to targeted private sector employers.
The role of the Infrastructure Development Task Force is to investigate, summarize and document the community’s existing infrastructure capabilities. Its purpose is to establish open lines of communication and cooperation between city agencies, local utility companies, private developers, and local industry to establish a strong foundation for new development, redevelopment and expansion.
The Marcom Committee is the investor/community-focused committee responsible for addressing investor/community issues, assessing CAEDA’s mission and image, developing strategies to expand the base of CAEDA investors, monitoring and assessing investor/community communications, and assessing their needs for economic development services.
