In May Forward Casper welcomed two new Investment Level Board Members. Brandon Wardell, CEO at Central Wyoming Counseling Center and Dave Gardner, Chief Nursing Officer at Wyoming Medical Center.
Brandon Wardell, MA, NCC, LPC is Central’s CEO. With over 12 years of management experience, Mr. Wardell is a Professional Member of the American Counseling Association and of the National Board of Certified Counselors. Brandon has worked as a clinician and consultant for the Air Force, Army, and several other State and Tribal Government agencies. Brandon has an extensive background in systemic and solution focused modalities of psychological treatment. He has worked for the past three years providing psychological services for the activity component of the United States Army and the Oklahoma National Guard. In December 2002, Brandon received his master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. He is currently in the process of finishing his PhD in Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. He has been married to his wife for the past 12 years and is the father of four daughters.
David Gardner has over 28 years in healthcare having started out in Healthcare as an EMT-Paramedic in Maine in1989. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK), a Masters of Divinity from Luther Rice University and Seminary (2011), a Master of Science in Nursing (2012), and a Masters in Business Administration (2012) from Grand Canyon University. Along with his education he has achieved certification as a Nurse Executive (NEA-BC) and Lean Six Sigma.
Professionally, he served 11 years in the Navy as a Nurse Corps Officer stationed in San Diego, Pensacola, Cuba, and Charleston, SC. Since leaving the Navy in 2005, David has worked at hospitals in Charleston, SC, Aiken, SC, Augusta, GA, Winchester, VA, and Memphis, TN, where David served as Vice President of Patient Care Services over the Elvis Presley Trauma Center and Fire Fighter Burn Center, among other areas.
Personally, David is married to the former Ms. Rebecca Robinson, RN, who is originally from Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada. They have two boys, Joshua, 14, who aspires to be a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Caleb, 12, who currently has his heart set on being an Oceanographer. The entire family is extraordinarily excited about the move to Casper where they can all enjoy Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Museums, and extraordinary outdoors of Casper, Natrona, and Wyoming.
