The Casper Area Economic Development Alliance is excited to announce new staff member Riata Little has joined our team as the Vice President of Economic and Project Development. She targets local business growth and expansion as well as new complementary business recruitment with an emphasis on the Energy and Manufacturing industries.
Riata is a Wyoming native! She was born and raised on her family ranch in Leiter, WY. Riata is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications with a concentration in Farm & Ranch Management and a minor in History. During college she worked in the University’s Accounts Payable office as an accounting clerk. In the summer of 2010, she worked on the Matt Mead for Governor Campaign, running the Farson, Wyoming office and assisted with campaign events throughout the western side of Wyoming. After college she was the Editor-in-Chief of Tri-State Livestock News in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. In 2014, she moved to Casper where she spent three years working for US Senator John Barrasso as a Field Representative.
Riata loves the Casper area and community and is proud to call Casper home. Outside of work, Riata enjoys an active lifestyle; snowboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking on Casper Mountain, paddle boarding the North Platte River, as well as, boating or sailing at Alcova Reservoir in the summer. She currently serves on the Wyoming Women in Ag board and is active with the Daniels Fund scholarship program as an alumnus.
