What is CAEDA?
The Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, Inc. (CAEDA) was formed in 1987 as a private-public partnership between business and government to serve as the principal catalyst for economic development in the City of Casper and Natrona County, Wyoming. CAEDA works to expand and diversify the region’s economic base, recruit new business, assists established facilities, and markets the area for activity.
What is Economic Development?
Economic development leads to positive changes for a community through diversification, job creation, business retention and tax revenue building. Economic development is important because it results in a higher standard of living for all citizens; both business and government play active roles in the process.

CAEDA proactively markets the region’s competitive advantages to attract new business investment to the area. CAEDA’s publications reach a nationwide audience through its website, brochures, publications, Targeted Industry and advertising campaigns.
Point of Contact
CAEDA serves as the point of contact for investors, site-selection consultants, industry representatives and the community. CAEDA provides market data such as demographics, climate information and economic statistics. These services help clients see how Casper-Natrona County has the right business climate and resources for their specific industry.
Helps Local Business Grow
CAEDA utilizes referrals, grant endorsements and other available resources to assist businesses. CAEDA also puts businesses in touch with local educational facilities, including Casper College, McMurry Training Center which provide training specific to that business’ needs.
Reporting & Events
CAEDA reports economic information and highlights community successes through various newsletters, articles, press releases, website updates and other publications. CAEDA also hosts quarterly business breakfasts for its investors, which feature guest speakers who address current issues of interest in Wyoming and the nation. In addition, CAEDA hosts special dinners and other events throughout the year.
CAEDA participates with various professional, business and service organizations to improve the economic quality of life of Wyoming. CAEDA works with all levels of government, as well as other community entities including the IEDC, Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Economic Development Association, Small Business Administration and Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
